Lucretia's outer robe - is it blue...is it purple...is it a mixture of the two?
Why the hell can't I find the exact shade of it at the fabric store so I can start making this cosplay dammit!?!
So - what color do you think it is? My ipod makes the one I dl-ed off creativeuncut blue. The art book has it in a blue-purple shade.
Anyone know what shape the clasps on that robe are? It's kinda hard to tell seeing as they're different, or appear to be different, between the art book and in-game pics so I'm going with feather ones that I'm going to make by butchering a necklace.
I also now have a ton of thread, likely more than I need but I don't want to run out. And feathers. I now have feathers for her fan.

See the trouble I'm having is that the shade of it keeps looking different each time I look at either the art book or the laptop. No matter where I look though the colors are all going to vary between things because people may edit the color a little when they tweak the pic of even my own color settings might change it. I really must remember to take the book with me next time into the fabric shop. What worries me is that if I get the wrong shade it will clash horribly with the pink and red that I've already chosen.
Am so making her book if I can. May make it a little fake too so I can put my money and stuff inside it rather than attempt to put pockets into one of the robes.
Damn I hope I don't melt when wearing so many layers. Can't be as bad as wearing Braska though. He's very hot to wear.
Oh yes I read that theory and it in an interesting take on things. Could be quite plausible too...I bet there's already fic of it out there XD

edit - actually that pic of lucretia and sialeeds makes me think it is a blue more than a purple because sialeeds is so wearing purple. looks like those tassel things are a pinky shade to kinda match the pink robe layer.

I asked Mike, who played the game as well, and he calls it as a purple. We actually reloaded the game on his system and it comes up as purple.
The color will probably change depending on what lighting your in too. Fluorescent lights have their own color system too. If you can, ask if you can take the fabric into the sun, just outside their doorway or something.
The book would be handy. Tarin did that for one of the Nobodies she cosplayed. put all her stuff in there. She said it helped the "pockets" of the coat lay smooth (because they weren't used) and added a realism because she had the character's book.
With layers, you'd be able to take some off! That might be a good thing

also, blue or purple normally doesn't clash with red or pink. they're usually complimentary to both colors.

Oh yeah you gotta decide between doing an artwork version or in game version or game art render or a combination thing of whatever pics you find. It is crazy some days trying to figure out which pic is the best for a cosplay reference. You have no idea how many times I put in Star Ocean 3 and stared at Cliff's ass just to get his chaps trim right. I think it's right >.>
lol someone has been using google to search for lucretia pics and ended up with porn. omg the things google refers you to when safe search if off XDDD
okay here's a question - do I need to send you all of darker than black? i've put the 4 ova onto one of the discs. the ovas fall between the two series but i can't remember if i have sent dtb to you and if I have how much of it you've got.
I actually went through all my burnt to disc anime the other day and made a list. entirely too many on that list that i haven't watched yet. oops.

i guess it would depend on what material you can get your hands on! and your own skill level.
the thing with safe search is that if it's even a bit risque, it won't show it - or mine won't.

I've had safe search turned off for ages. Just can't find the right pics if it's turned on because it picks through everything and maybe because of some obscure rule, even the decent correct nice pics get left off all because of how they are titled.
Hmmm well there's the original Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha series, then the ovas in the middle, and then there's Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini. I'll be quite happy to send it on to you with the pile. Heh you're going to have quite the pile of anime from me to watch XD I've been getting the urge to rewatch everything as I've been burning it off for you.

Ffffffffff! how wicked was that? Dear gods. Seeing that totally makes me want to try doing non-human cosplay now. Reading the notes for it however, they said the tail was a bitch to work with though for moving. But as you said, the things we do for fandom love!
I've had it turned off for a while. Sometimes though.. *shudders* you can NOT unsee.
Wow. Your list of anime is huge. I have oh so many to watch that I've missed too. I so miss watching anime. I loved the anime store in winnipeg - Ir Ben. I have yet to sit down and read some of the manga that I got from con! I have fallen in love with Cantenrella? spelling is shot.
