I needs to make a post for yesterday. We had fun ^_^ and so need costumes next year. And to not take the girls *nods*

Abbey website. It's a week of living history re-enactments. Was great.

Oh and I'm in lust. Ooooooh the lust. He had beautiful long down to his lower back dark blond hair and his thighs...omg *drools*

Anyways spent way more than intended as you do but I'd like to think it was worth it. Still deciding on the cloak but it's mine now so I'll like iwth that one. There was a stall full of furs there. They were beautiful and soft and in the back of my mind I couldn't shake the thought of the animals that these furs had belonged to. Oh well. They did have a $2000 hand sewn fur blanket. Another stall had their bed set up right behind where they worked...lined with layers of furs. Considering it's winter here and they're sleeping in tents, they would have been toasty warm.

Food...yummy fattening food but it's all good and only for a day and I had some Hungarian langos that I have a recipe for now. It's fattening, very fattening but so tasty.

Also brought some peppermint schnapps and a bottle of coffee liqueur. Damn that's seriously good stuff. If I could I'd bring some to y-con with me but it's not worth the risk of it breaking in the luggage.

I need to upload some pics. Esp of the joust. Lady Sara, the only female for the joust, and at her first joust, came third yesterday. We only saw 2 events really - the mounted melee and the joust. Were so not missing the joust. and some of the performers...veiled ladies walking about with swords balanced on their heads. Very cool.

All in all it was a good day and if we lived closer I'd try to go both the tournament days but sadly it's over an hour drive to get there. Worth it though.
