Walking in Braska cosplay is so much a pleasure now. Although I do have to kick out my feet or risk tripping on the front petal. Putting wire back in those petals tomorrow and then I have maybe four to finish setting by hand seeing as they keep wanting to go their own direction when I turn but I won't be doing that until I've made the new cowl thingy. After the cowl is remade I'll have to reposition the studs that hold the breastplate in place too. Mum suggested velcro until I told her that the noise it makes would have people looking to see who's cosplay is falling apart ^^; Press studs are much less obvious. Note to self: sewing sleeve petals - start from shoulder and work your way down.

Then it'll be headdress making time yay!

Yes, am much immersed in sewing right now and have only stopped cos it's lunchtime plus I need to start getting ready for work.

Was going to write last night but fell into bed not much after midnight. Work was omg so busy and I didn't get out of one aisle until really late. The boss isn't really impressed but considering it's not really been done properly since I moved sections to do directs, it really needed a full 3 hours work. Pray tonight is easier.

Man, I can't imagine what it's like walking in that costume. (Actually, I can't imagine how you can walk in most costumes. XD) But... the skirt. I DEMAND PICTURES.

It was interesting to walk in. Difficult to sit in and bending over wasn't a good idea. This pic (http://pics.livejournal.com/gardensgnome/pic/00037c8x/g10) was taken in 2005 at Yaoicon. We had trouble completing the headdress so I just wore what was ready. Was going to be too heavy and it wasn't sticking together right. The dress itself has a hoop in the bottom. I couldn't take full walking steps and my boots wold whack against it. I looked like a bell waddling along XD Also the petals kept sticking out a little too weirdly which I'm hoping to fix this year.

This year I've made a tulle shirt to go underneath and the difference is immediate. It moves more like it does in the spheres. I need to redo the cream & green cowl chest bit thing to take out the padding and I'll be making the headdress from scratch.

There wa smuch fun had during the mini ff pic shoot. There's even a pic of Rikku looking up Braska's dress but I don't think it turned out. There will be more pics this year *nods*
