i hurts much.

was reaching to the side and downwards sort of to pick up a wooden chopping board out of a box in the cart I was working from and pain. all the way across my mid to lower back. i'm pulling something or pinching something. and it wasn't even heavy dammit. hurts more on my left to move than my right but I hurts. We're doing the work compo thing so I have to remember to visit the doc tomorrow and then take the forms over to work. am on some anti-inflamatory drugs. hopefully not allergic to them cos that would suck. not that this doesn't suck enough already.

do not touch the wooden chopping boards as they are cursed.

so I have the rest of today off work and tomorrow. then it's christmas *rolls eyes* what a time to hurt myself considering how busy we are and how much there is to do. not to mention taking Shadow to the vet tomorrow...

Shadow is either having an allergic reaction to the new shampoo we're washing him with or he's got mites. he's due for a booster shot too so we'll be doing all that as well.

notice I've not been posting the something happy for each day meme although I got tagged. was actually going to start doing that tonight but yeah, not exactly well here. will probably do a post later for it.

i'm off to see what cold packs we have in the freezer for my back. and then I'm not sure. this is my first real work related injury. I want it to be my last ^^;

Feel better soon. Back injuries or straining injuries and inflamation suck.

Yes and I'm so hoping not to get one ever again. Wasn't even lifting anything heavy, just the angle I guess ^^; That'll teach me to list stuff the proper way ;)

Ugh, straining the back is the worst thing ever. A couple years ago, I got a new bed with a thick pillowtop and it completely threw my back to the point that bending over wasn't an option. Then I got sick with a cough - talk about pain. Since I thought the problem was due to shoveling snow (we had a lot that year), I didn't resolve the problem for a few months by getting one of those foam, contour pillows.

So yeah, I understand your pain and I hope that you get it checked out soon.

There is very little worse than strained muscles and then having a cough. It's like torture.

I can bend over but not to the side or twist in certain directions and lifting the clothes basket while half full is a bad idea. Like I can lift it but after when I stand up I hurt a bit. I'm hoping that it hurting more now eventho I've been trying to do not much means the pain is working its way out of the system. Sleeping is an uncomfortable process.

*flops on* it's more inconvenient at the moment as I"m not sure if I'm going to be un-sore enough to go to work on Monday. Will probably get asked a pile of questions about my back. Depending on how much I hurt Monday I may end up back at the docs. Ick.

*curls around and cuddles* I'm working on it. Pain killers and the ice pack are my friend. The warm bath with muscle soak stuff in it didn't help at all so I'm hoping that having the ice pack on at hourly intervals will help.
