I can hear! Or well only my right ear has the pressure thing going on. Damn nose is being drippy though. Stupid nose.

You know I've been home for most of the past 5 days. o.O And managed to get mostly nothing done but play Suikoden V. I certainly don't remember doing much. Yay for sick days? Wonder how many hours I still have. I know it'll be over 200. Yeah I don't get sick often thankfully.

Being home for so many days and generally spamming everyone has left me with not much to say seeing as I did not much. Hmmm...game ramble then...

I am amused that Georg has his own room although he's not at the castle yet. I could imagine the prince heading in there to lay on his bed and enjoy his scent in the room but seeing as he's not been there yet that won't be possible. Kyle having no room of his own just screams bed-hopper although he kinda seems to admit to that anyways. I reckon Wilhelm imagines dressing Richard in girls clothing. Richard is pretty. I'm about to get Killey. I need to look at pics of him from the other games cos with him being younger and all and that attitude of his...he's so asking for something. Killey never really got my attention before now. I wonder if it is the hat >.> I think there needs to be some under the influence of Sindar technology romping between him and Zweig...when I get a look at the bath. When I get the damn bath. Where is the bath person in this game? I have thoughts of fishing boat groping, well accidental groping leading to something definitely happening.

Is it just me or is Logg really cool for all his dorkness...and sorta hot in the way Viktor is hot. I'm blaming the boat ramming scene for the Logg thoughts.

I am obviously in need of help. Blame my cold? I still want some Willhelm/Kyle though. And I need to have an icon for when I ramble about this game too.

LOL I admit I've never seen Frey/George believably written. Would be interesting to ponder, though. And you'll get the bath once you've managed to recruit... a bunch of beavers. XD

I raided jpqueen for all the Georg/Prince doujin that looked interesting. Not actually opened many of them yet as I'm distracted by the game still. Damn addictive games are the Suikoden ones. Can't put them down cos there's more characters just after the next battle/in the next town/just over there. Sleep? What's that? XD

What would you call believably written? Would it be without smut, just a good companionship between friends until Georg leaves or maybe Georg showing the prince how to get urges out of his system so he can sleep better and concentrate in battle better. Or maybe Georg has a thing for pretty lads or wants some fun but without the chance of leaving bastards behind. I think once I get Georg back and/or finish the game I'll dig about and see what I can write them getting up to.

Damn gotta get ready for work. Guess I'll get your thoughts on them later <3

Getting all those beavers was a pain.

I didn't really find any that really made me go "homg do want". Mostly because those I saw turned Frey into a crying whimpering uke, as to be expected. *sigh* I love SuikoV. It's one of my favorite thing. And I have this little pet love for imagining Frey as actually mute, rather than just... you know, for game purposes. I mean, he always has Lyon speaking for him, too.

Believably written? Believably written means IC for me, with good pacing. I think any of the plots you mentioned can be done believably if an author puts his/her mind to it, and avoids OOC and hilarious lapses of language judgment à la, "My little cocknivore". XD There are no impossible plots or ideas, imo, just impossible ways to execute them. *laughs*

I've no got to Roy yet but couldn't resist looking him up cos I was curious. With not yet meeting him he sadly does little for me. Perhaps he will grow on me after I get to his appearance in the storyline.

Zweig is simply tasty. He needs a better character pic though on Suikosource as you can't see his face :(

I shall endeavor to chase down beavers with much patience and likely a block of chocolate and a playguide. I'm using the playguide anyways and I'm glad cos some of that you have to do to get characters that are missable is nuts.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a poll for the Suiko fans on the flist to see where we all stand in relation to games played/owned and fave pairings. It needs to be done *nods*

IC fics that flow well rather than jumping from meeting to suddenly undressed are definitely good. I do prefer some kind of storyline/build up unless I'm specifically looking for pwp. I like to have a setting to get the mood right. Helps me figure out where things are heading to as well :) Right now my mind is telling me to do a little research into Ferid and Georg before heading towards Georg/Prince.

Making Frey actually mute sounds rather interesting. He wouldn't have a problem with needing to keep quiet *evil grin* There would be a need for more physical contact for communication. I bet he'd only get so far with sign language with telling someone he wanted to kiss them before he just did it instead.

I really couldn't play Suikoden games without a guide. Some of the characters have very obscure requirements/timeframes, and usually it's, "Pick a wrong answer and the character is lost foreverrrr". XD

Heh, that'd be an interesting poll. I've only played IV, V and Tactics. Recently, I picked up III on a trip to the US (since it was never released here), but I've yet to play it. I don't know anything about the old ones, but people seem to love them.

Yes, same here. I have nothing against PWPs per se, and I've seen in medias res fics done pretty well before, but I don't like it when PWP is taken as an excuse for OOC. Anything seems to be taken as an excuse for OOC these days, lol. XD A lot of people seem to ship Ferid/Georg. I could never quite get into it... perhaps because a lot of fanfics end up vilifying Arshtat, and imo, he obviously loved her. Bisexuality does not exist! XDDDD

It is a guilty pleasure. >.> Precisely for those reasons you mentioned. There are some pretty dirty fantasies to be had with that. :P

It is evil that they do that with characters and you think you're going to get them and then you press the wrong button and the last save was like 2 hours and 3 dungeons and one major battle previous. Playguides are very much our friends for getting everyone.

Suikoden I was probably the 3rd playstation game I played, after FF7 and Legacy of Kain I think. My memory isn't that good anymore ^^; But the first two games are very good and the 2D sprites cute. Esp int he mass battles as they die you have these tiny angel sprites floating up the screen. I'm not sure on the prices these days but I think SII is still more expensive that SI. Well worth tracking down if you're enjoying the others.

SIII is a little different in that it flows three different lead characters and events are shaped on your choices. I've not finished it yet but plan to get there some day. and then I'll try to write more porn for it.

I think Ferid/Georg would have happened when they were younger but you're right in that Arshtat and Ferid are madly in love. Which leaves a nice space for Georg to get the hots for Frey >.>

I think Frey would get tied up fingers or something from being shy/nervous about asking and would just make a little hand signal that says 'fuck it' and snog them. Do you plan to write mute!Frey? I'm leaning towards quiet Frey myself. He's likely been brought up to listen and observe which would be easier seeing as he's only a son and not the heir. Silly nobles for thinking he can't cause any harm *evil smirk* No doubt he's heard all sorts of interesting gossip and probably been approached by all manner of unsavory ladies and gents trying to get closer to the royal family. Wonder if he's asked Kyle or Georg what certain words mean and had them all embarrassed as they try to explain.

Argh talking about it makes me want to play it but I'm working on getting through as many comments in my email as possible in the hope of catching up this weekend.
