Telstra, major phone bunch over here, shut down the cdma network. My phone is good...it's even the oldest in the house and it still works cos yay quadband gsm. I rock and it sucks my phone is dying after 4 years of use :( But hey that's 4 trips overseas too in that XD
Mum's phone, also a motorola although pre-paid and with Telstra rather than Optus is fine too. I think hers is a dual or tri band.
Dad's phone, which operates on my original number and sim card so is technically my phone is dead. it's not even two years old but I can't figure out where to look to tell me what band it runs on. Bloody Nokia. So I'm gonna leave mum a note saying to wake me in the morning cos dad may just not have reception in the house. That's what I'm hoping.
Although strangely I now have reception in my bedroom. Go fig *rolls eyes* Phone smex anyone? ;P
So I have this feeling that tomorrow will be taken up with trundling off to buy dad a new phone...something suitable for him and the work he does which means it'll need to have a cover and be damn near shock proof.
Really none of the phones interest me...I am being fussy and want one that looks similar to what I have. What I want outside of something that looks like mine is the motorola hiptop but it doesn't work overseas and that is the first priority after camera for any phone I get. Really don't like the look of the Motorola razar phones. Want proper buttons plz ta muchly.
It's kinda getting chilly here tonight so I'm off to see which spot in the bed the cat has warmed up for me ^_^ *luffs all*
