Ack you make me sound old calling me a lady ;P I kinda cringe in the store when I hear parents refer to me as 'that lady over there' when warning their kids I'll growl at them for messing around. It feels super weird still and will probably take a couple days to get used to...hence me getting it cut today.

Hair length is about 2-3 inches. It might be a little long for spiking. I'm gonna have a play with the gel though XD

We didn't do before and after pics but you saw my hair at con...it's uber short compared to that. i should take a pic of the long handful that got cut off first. I kept that XD Mum suggested me putting a towel on my head to take the tension out of my next as everything gets used to the no heavy hair factor. It's hella weird feeling. I thought the air getting through my hair would be the strangest thing but no, it's the resettling of neck and shoulder muscles.

Was actually tempted to get Leon hair but I'd have to do stuff with that to make it presentable for work ;)

Thanks, the hairdresser did a good job after we had a quick chat and I showed her some pics I'd seen online. I haven't had hair this short since I was in high school. That's when I started growing it longer. That is also quite a few years between proper hairdresser visits as mum usually trims it for me. I did have it just above my shoulders in 05 but that was cos the hair dresser pulled on my hair while cutting it and it ended up shorter than I wanted. Now to just lose some weight to go with the new style *grin*

Bah not elegant at all ;) I feel older when I look at that pic. The hair has settled down a little more now and needs a wash to get out the gel she put in. I actually showed her a pic of my school id of when I last had my hair this short so she had an idea of what would and wouldn't work. My hair feels right weird now. Even better is that I almost have a 'before' pic seeing as i cosplayed Trevor from Castlevania with my own longer hair last year and this year at con. it's a huge difference. Monday's after work post will be hilarious as I recount reactions to my hairI

God yes. I re-washed it last night and even the little bit of shampoo and conditioner I used was too much. Least I can now buy that expensive stuff and not have it disappear in a couple washes. My hair was drowning in bubbles XD

Occasionally headaches but more recently the heat. It's summer here now and long hair is much too hot. Plus all I was ever doing was putting it up for work. It was rare that I had my hair fully down as it annoyed me by getting in the way.

Change is as good as i holiday I guess and after last week at work Gnome needed a holiday ;)

I recommend it. It feels great and I slept better last night without having it making me hotter. I tool some pics into the hairdresser with me. One of me back in high school when I'd last had my hair this short and one I'd found online of a similar style. There was another, very cute one that is like a short of Leon's wig style but would need work cos of the natural wave in my hair.

I'd been going to get it cut for a couple years but didn't cos of cosplay and general laziness. Now I'm going to use less shampoo and much less hair dye and not strangle myself with my own hair in my sleep. Tis loverly ;)

The short hair is great. Shoulders and neck are still getting used to the lack of extra weight and I'm glad I didn't give myself whiplash turning over last night because I remembered I didn't need to allow for flinging the hair out of the way before turning XD

Short hair cosplay here I come *grin* I let it grow out a little and I'll be able to do Tir and Riou without wigs ^_^
