Luke is now fixed and Leon has his studs all hammered down more or totally replaced. Hopefully there won't be wardrobe help required this year for Leon but will be bringing many pins just in cate >.> Have been cutting up pink fabric flowers for Byakuya stuffs while waiting for the vid to load. Am just generally exhausted from work. Cannot wait for the 3 weeks off from work and a chance to get to see everyone *clings*

You're very talented. :D I would love to have your sewing room. <3

It really needs more of a clean up. The room is actually tidy considering how it was at the start of the weekend XD Plus there's stuff to toss out like the old dead computer and we still have the new microwave to take out of its box after a couple years. Dad doesn't want us to use it yet -_- I have a feeling that when I eventually move out again it'll be going with me.

I don't think I'm all that talented really *blushes* I did sewing for about 5 years during school and then not much for ages. I'm just crazy enough now to want to make my own cosplay. Heh the peoples at work suggested selling them on ebay but I don't think they get it where fandom and fan peeps are concerned. Hell no for selling because they are tailor made to fit me and are all characters I love.

Your voice is so cute! X3 I hope you have tons of fun, and can't wait to see how all your costumes turn out. ^^

I don't hear the accent until I get home from overseas. The longer I'm away the more noticeable it is.

There will be many many photos and likely some mini vids too. Am taking the lappy this year so there may be mid-con reports going up depending on what we're up to :)

Yup, do you need them? boot cover links (http://gardensgnome.livejournal.com/938708.html?thread=3249620#t3249620) I have sort of a hybrid one started for the not being completed Suzaku. Am using stretchy fabric for the boot cover and a non-stretch to cover the sole of the show. It's looking rather neat so far. I've added elastic to the bottom of Luke's pants to stop them from creeping in the boots I'm planning on wearing for him. I just need to get some insoles for something because they are cheapish boots and feel really weird. No heels on them at all so I'm going to be a midget Luke XD

Leon's pants needs studs. LOL!

Damn, thats a lot of stuff going on in there! Oh! I seen random bits of Gnome's hair that you pulled out!

Thank you sooo much for the boot cover links again! Aug 1! I just didn't go back far enough! Oy!

I've got this lovely vinyl which looks like leather - and it's stretchy! so i'm using that for gauntlet and boot covers. the boots are sorta slouchy so i'm trying to figure a way to make them more ...well... baggy.

I need some white ribbon and I want to see if maybe I can borrow a friend's airbrush for the design on the back! i love having friends who are artists!

When i seen your luke costume, i was thinking....okay.. so she's going as pantless luke? then you turned around and shown the pants!

*grin* I couldn't help but smile after saying that and thinking how wrong it sounded. Leon is a stud. He just needs to be in his pants and they will have stud too XD And yes, Luke's pants are definitely in the room. Just not on the mannequin with the rest of him. That's the one annoying thing about dress makers doll things is you can't hang pants off them.

I can't help myself where it comes to cosplay. I see one shiny and suddenly I have more cosplay then there are days of con. Would have this year but Suzaku has been put aside for sanity retention. If I try to get him done I'll lose my mind and be hugely stressed. Next time hopefully.

Stretchy vinyl in a faux leather look sounds super cool and very handy. Stretchy stuff is such a good thing esp for boots. I ended up getting some scrap leather from a upholstery place for Trevor's gauntlets and then just wore gloves for the end part. The gloves for Tseng's cosplay actually. Yay for multitasking cosplay bits. Hmmm I'm not sure what to suggest for the boots except to use more fabric. Do you have an image online of what you'd like them to look like? Or have you searched cosplay.com for boot tutorials. I'd probably do it by having stiffer type fabric on the inside to help hold the boot up and then extra fabric on the outside for the slouchy look. Having image of exactly what you're thinking of making would help me with making better suggestions though :)

Airbrushing...I need to have some of that for if I do the Tir Suikoden cosplay for his true rune on his hand. Probably get it done on some contact or something that can stick onto my hand seeing as getting it done a week before con wouldn't work. It'd come off by the time I needed it.

Man, just now watching this, I realized that I really missed your voice. It's probably silly to say it that way, but you're always so cheerful and excited (well, for us, anyway). I'm glad that you posted this. Though, I have to say, you have way too much stuff piled in that room. Don't know how you have room for sewing. ;)

Braska's staff looks awesome so far. That is what your father was working on, right? Can't wait to see it put together.

And seriously, you're just trying to give us ideas with everyone's pants lying around in that room. Either a pissing contest took place or something more entertaining than that.

Heh, Shadow is not amused. ;)

maybe a bit from column a and maybe a bit from column b? ...but you see, the pants are gone.... hm. i go with something more entertaining than a pissing contest!

It's a meeting for SFA - sword fighters anonymous >.> They aren't allowed to wear pants to the meeting to stop the usual accusations of swords compensating for other things :3

From: [identity profile] gardensgnome.livejournal.com

There's plenty of room for sewing at the moment. Should have seen it before I did a tidy up or when I' switching between which cosplay I'm working on and one is getting put away as the other is getting pulled out. Huge mess.

I'm always excited for con. This year has been slow going seeing as con last year was in September so we've had the extra month to wait. Not long to go now though and I think also the mini vid is a teaser of the fun to come ;) It maybe will get everyone else hyped up too or lift their moods some getting to hear/see my madness.

*thinks of all the things still to do* Yep, definitely madness.

Nexy year I'm seriously considering getting dad to make swords for me or at least supervise me making them. It's a little different from the work he usually does for everyone else which are definitely jobs but mine is a 'help the nutty daughter with her insane hobby' XD The staff will be about 80% accurate I think to the pic when I'm finished. It'll be missing some bits but can't help that. Sadly you're only going to get to see photos of the completed staff as it's being shipped straight to Janet's rather than to SF and then up to Bellingham. There will be photos though. Maybe even vid >.>

See reply to Cyd's comment for my answer as to what is going on with everyone's pants being off :3
