Having a b'day smack dab in the middle of easter is good camouflage. Even mum got the days mixed up. Thanks everyone for the well wishes :) The whole weekend was a lot of time doing nothing much. I managed to make chocolate truffles...not my best cooking moment but altering recipes after making them the way they say to is what is fun. I did bath Shadow and also got the fabric for Toshiro's haori washed.

Am very slowly replying to things but that's about normal for me.

Poor Shadow at the moment...he's actually lucky to be alive I think. I wasn't here to see it but we had a 6-7 foot carpet snake on the verandah yesterday. Shadow is still freaking about about it and getting startled by most things. Which means I'm rather sore from not sleeping too well last night. Good thing mum was home and saw it and locked herself and Shadow inside until dad got here to take the snake away.

I need to go start getting ready for work so I can resist the urge to crawl back into bed and get some more sleep.

Poor Shadow! I'm nearly having a heart attack just reading about it. *shudder* They must be pretty terrible if mum had to lock herself and Shadow inside.

he's finally calmed down since yesterday maybe. i kinda feared for my feet for a few nights and really didn't sleep well that first night. i make a habit now of checking the veranda in the morning when I put out his litter tray. am so glad to not have been here when they were taking the snake away *clings*
