Zack narrowed his eyes a fraction and gave out a hmphing noise before opening his mouth to retort. Sephiroth beat him to the punch.

"The only thing is, the winner gets to keep coming back. Where does that leave you Fair, when you're sullied by the Lifestream, caught in it's clutches and unable to help those who truly need it? Where does that leave you?"

Sephiroth has one of those infinite lives cheat codes, doesn't he ;D

What Seph doesn't realize is that he's not the winner or he wouldn't keep getting his ass kicked back into the lifestream. Zack doesn't tell him this because...well there has to be some reason for not telling Sephiroth he's really the loser. I don't think anyone in their right mind would tell him that >.>

you would have to be a special brand of crazy to tell Sephiroth something like that.

I have a small belief that Sephiroth is too tainted for the lifestream. Too much of Mother in him and that's his key to getting out when he gets tossed in. Like a personal "get out of jail" card. He thinks it's something good but really, how many times can you do that to your body before something breaks and gives.

Zack however, is all "i got my girlfriend and her damned flower cart. i'm all good."
